My Future
By Collette J., Age 13
In the future, I aspire to be a professional horseback rider. Being a professional rider means participating in shows and winning. There are different kinds of shows, from local shows to Grand Prix to the Olympics, which are the most impressive and famous. In some shows you can win money, however that is not the reason I would be doing them. The number one reason why I would want to do the shows is because of my love for animals. Horses especially mean everything to me, so I would obviously put the horse above anything else.
I also dream of having my own farm and rescue animals. I absolutely adore animals and I really want to save them all. The prize money from the shows would help me create a loving home for many animals. I would like to adopt some, rescue some, and buy some. When animals are happy, I’m happy. Animals have my whole heart. Because I ride horses, I’m already connected with animals. I also grew up with a small doggie who recently passed away. We had her for seventeen years and gave her the best life ever. Now I am determined to give many animals their best lives as well. I will help them with all my might. For me it’s #love-animals and #animals-are-awesome.
In conclusion, animals are a part of me; they are a part of my life. They give me their unconditional love, they make me happy, they understand me, and they are there for me. Having a farm and winning horse shows would be a dream come true. It would be what you call “a perfect life.” I want to chase my dream, especially because of my good intentions. Everyone's life should be treasured and everyone’s life should be happy. If you really believe in something, it will happen! I believe and I will chase my dream!
