Writing for Success

This is a self-paced, recorded program designed for upper middle to high school students. It covers the entire writing process—from selecting a topic and prewriting to drafting, revising, and proofreading—with a focus on the five-paragraph essay. Interactive quizzes and independent exercises help reinforce learning, while a parent guide supports at-home collaboration. This course equips students with the essential skills needed to excel in essays, reports, and research papers.

  • It will take about six hours to complete the lessons, exercises, and quizzes in this course.

  • By the end of this course, students will be able to:

    • Apply various prewriting techniques.

    • Understand how to structure and compose effective paragraphs.

    • Develop and refine strong thesis statements.

  • Each lesson in this course includes a quiz. Students are given up to five attempts to achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on each quiz. Successfully passing all quizzes is required to earn the Certificate of Achievement upon course completion.
