My House

By Agnes M., Age 9

My living room is filled with laughter and fun. My older sister and I play with our Lego Minifigures together. As I enjoy reading books in the living room, my recent favorite books are Dragon Girls, Secret Rescuers, Dragon Masters, and more. When I have playdates with my cousins, we use some of the toys in the toy chest, which was amazingly built by my dad. Music fills this room because I rehearse and play music on my piano. Another favorite activity to do is to ride my roller skates through the hallway. All these activities in the living room gave me fun filled memories.

My yard is another special, lively place filled with adventures. Some of the animals that visit me are deer, red foxes, rabbits, birds, squirrels, and more. In my backyard, I have two swings, a hammock, and a trampoline. There is a row of evergreen trees that I call Enchanted Forest because it reminds me of a fairytale forest. In winter, my older sister and I build snowmen, slides, and forts, which we use to play snowball fight. In spring when the wildflowers sweetly bloom, the butterflies pollinate the flowers. My yard is active and beautiful all year round.
